I started this blog as an open forum for recruiters to exchange their ideas and  feelings to better our profession.  Please feel free to respond to any of my ranting or open up new topics for discussion.  At all times these thoughts must be presented in a professional manner that encourages participation and are a credit to our industry.

I also encourage candidates for employment to ask questions or state problems they have had with recruiters in the past.  Your input is vital to our success.  After all, you need to be just as happy about your new (or future) employment for your continued usage of our services.

I ask you to identify yourself but I will withhold identification posted if requested.

I reserve the right to not post or edit content to adhere to the above standards of conduct.

ASP Shines During Massive Expansion

I just experienced first hand, the tripling the size of the company in 3 weeks!  Besides the pressure of filling new slots, we had to add incumbent employees that were already on the contract from a previous vendor.

We were using Vurv Express and adding the new people went very smooth into the system because of the power of a web based system.  The people could log on and input their personal information, before even meeting with us!  We set up the new client, opened a hot position and they entered the system from our web site career section.  It was seamless and really impressed the new staff.

The owner of the company wrote a nice introduction and welcome letter, including an attachment that walked them through the process in an easy to understand, step by step method. It was concise and very professional.

The more I'm involved in web based applications, the more I'm wondering why small - medium size companies even own equipment anymore....
