I started this blog as an open forum for recruiters to exchange their ideas and  feelings to better our profession.  Please feel free to respond to any of my ranting or open up new topics for discussion.  At all times these thoughts must be presented in a professional manner that encourages participation and are a credit to our industry.

I also encourage candidates for employment to ask questions or state problems they have had with recruiters in the past.  Your input is vital to our success.  After all, you need to be just as happy about your new (or future) employment for your continued usage of our services.

I ask you to identify yourself but I will withhold identification posted if requested.

I reserve the right to not post or edit content to adhere to the above standards of conduct.

ATS - Applicant Tracking Systems Evaluations

Been getting a few more questions about evaluating ATS systems and thought I'd repost this article again.  A key point here is to remember to get all interested parties involved, docuement the process and get them to sign off.  Use that criteria to evaluate the products.

I've gotten a few questions about the detail criteria I use for evaluations.  This process is a evaluation method that I've seen used at state agencies.  It allows a pretty objective method and input from various other interested users.  I use a excel spreadsheet with titles across the top, with the vendors down the side.  Then summarize the ratings each group has in the corresponding box to each criteria, to each vendor.

I used ASP or Purchase/Work Flow/Pulls in Resumes/Pushes out Posts/Ease of Candidate Entry/Ease of Job Order Entry/Supplier Portal/Reports/Support/Mass Emails/Outlook Sync/Searching Ease/Software Install/Data Load/Install costs/Product costs

Many of the vendors commented that they appreciated the feedback about why their product wasn't chosen and made a few changes to their demos and sales methods based on the evaluations.

I'd LOVE to get a copy of any ATS research - especially if in a spreadsheet format - I have a 6-month goal ahead of me to review and analyze ATS systems other than my current one to see if there is a better more proactive response team to the one my company has now.

Thanks!
